Qigong on the Go, no. 1 – Long Time!

October 6, 2024

Long time!

It’s been a while since I’ve been in touch about qigong offerings. I’m happy to report that I’ve been able to put a lot of energy into my qigong work lately. I’ve started writing a book and this Monday (tomorrow) I begin a series of online classes (AKA Online Dojo).

7 Animal Frolics and a Free eBooklet

The book I’ve been working on is about the seven animal frolics that I practice (Monkey, Deer, Snake, Tiger, Bear, Crane, and Dragonfly). These movement meditations are so rich! It’s been an exciting and major project to embark upon. I’m releasing a portion of the book as a free eBooklet on October 15th, 7 Animal Frolics MONKEY. It also contains a standing meditation set which invokes each of the animals. Sign up for my newsletter (by simply replying to this email and writing “Subscribe” either in the subject or the body of the email) if you haven’t already and I’ll be sure to forward this booklet along to you when it’s ready!

FREE Online Dojo begins Monday October 7th

I’ve tuned up our home office / studio in North Miami to be able to demonstrate qigong well online. I’m super excited to be offering qigong again, it’s one of my favourite things to do. I’m using Google Meet as the platform to interact with participants which is super easy to use via laptop or phone. Classes are completely free in October so make a note to show up and try it out! (Donations are welcome, see the link below for how to donate.)

In the Dojo this month

Mondays 8:30am (October 7, 14, 21, 28 = 4 sessions)
We’ll study Monkey Animal Frolic movement set. Get ready monkeys!

Tuesdays 5:30pm & Fridays 11am (October 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29 = 7 sessions)
We’ll study Crane Animal Frolic and sitting & standing meditation.

The Google Meet link for classes will always be on my website on the Dojo Studio page.

(I have the option to stream to my YouTube channel as well which I may implement after a week or two.)

Finally, I’m thrilled to report that a wonderful kung fu academy close to my home has invited me to join the teaching staff there! The energy of the dojo is clear and invigorating, a place of practice. My stepson has been studying kung fu there (working towards his white belt test) and it’s been a joy for me to step back into a dojo environment and witness the teacher masterfully work with students.

That’s all for now. If you’ve signed up for my newsletter, expect to hear from me again. I’ve sent this newsletter beyond my newsletter list this time aiming to get the word out in a bigger way. If you want to continue to hear from me and my Qigong on the Go work, please let me know by replying ‘subscribe’ to this email. Thanks!
